Dilip Buildcon Limited won a sub-contract worth Rs 3,070.8 million from ISC Projects Private Limited for composite work for execution of earthwork in formation by filling and cutting, blanketing, construction of minor bridges, side drain, central drain catch water drain, protection work, P.way track linking work, P.way fitting, transportation of P.way materials, supply of ballast, construction of service buildings, construction of goomties, workshop sheds for C and W examination lines, heavy repairs sheds, proposed bogie shop, stores with shed, road work, circulating area, abrasion resistance granolithic concrete flooring, ballastless track beams, GDR pathway work, structural steel work and metalising work etc. for Barpali loading bulb at Kusara for the Jharsuguda-Sardega Railway Line Doubling Project on October 29, 2025.

Bids for the same were invited by South Eastern Railway (SER) in March 2025 and were won by ISC Projects Private Limited.

The work is expected to be completed in 24 months.

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), is implementing the doubling of a 52.41-km Jharsuguda-Sardega railway line with a flyover at Jharsuguda railway station in the state of Odisha at an investment of Rs 31.98 billion. The project will help in ramping up the handling capacity from 34 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to 65 mtpa.
