ISC Projects Private Limited has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for a contract worth Rs 1,737.5 million for construction of five major bridges and five Road over Bridges (RoBs) from 28.682 km to 44.278 km in Simariya-Shivpuri section under Package-VI of the Shivpur-Kathotia (Hazaribagh) New Railway Line Project (Coal Connectivity). Bids for the same were invited by IRCON International Limited in May 2022.
The work is expected to be completed in 24 months.
The project involves the construction of a 49.45-km railway line connecting Shivpur to Kathotia in Hazaribagh district in the state of Jharkhand at an estimated cost of Rs 19.83 billion. It is a part of the three inter-state rail corridor projects proposed by Coal India Limited (CIL), which are dedicated to coal evacuation in the naxal-affected areas of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand.
